We’re delighted to welcome Stay Seen Collective to Six Foot Gallery.
The Stay Seen Collective is a unique arts collective that brings together artists from all backgrounds, genres and abilities to use the power of creativity to end human trafficking in Scotland.
Established in 2023, the Stay Steen Collective aims to create a sense of solidarity and community between supporters and survivors. Initially inspired inspired by Scottish fine artist Linda Hoskins and her desire to combine creativity and justice, the project has evolved to encompass an eclectic group of artists who use their creative practices to foster dialogue, and spark positive social change, paving the way towards a Scotland free from fear, where everyone can live with dignity and respect.
Throughout the year the Collective hosts a selection of exhibitions, shows and workshops and engages with a variety of events and venues. There are also opportunities for specific collaborations with individual artists and creatives.
Resilience in Colour is a vibrant and thought-provoking exhibition celebrating the healing power of creativity and the quiet strength found in everyday moments. Through artworks that range from bold and bright to soft and subtle, this collection reveals how colour helps us heal, connect with others, and express what often remains unspoken.
The exhibition showcases stories of hope, endurance, and beauty emerging in unexpected ways. It invites viewers to reflect on the transformative power of colour and creativity in overcoming challenges and finding resilience. Experience a moving journey through the quiet power of colour and the strength that’s found in everyday moments.
This exhibition is part of the Scottish Refugee Festival and the open call was designed and written by a Stay Seen Collective member and New Scot.
