Hi Anastasia! Can you tell us how your artistic journey started?
I began my creative path in 2001 as an actress, studying at two universities with a degree in Theatre Directing & Acting Teaching.
How has your practice changed over time?
Since 2010, I had created a series of artistic works in experimental genres such as Abstract Expressionism and Symbolism. I was also interested in and trained in the field of photography. I participated in many exhibitions of paintings, and photo competitions. I organised personal exhibitions of paintings, installations, art-objects, and photo-projects using various methods and genres of Visual-Performative Art, including Augmented Reality (AR) technology.
What emotions or reactions do you hope viewers experience when they see your artwork?
I would like for people to be able to unite at the level of pure Energy in understanding deep Ideas and accept themselves as part of a unified World.
What do you do to keep motivated and interested in your work?
In difficult moments, I remind myself of the unpredictability and instability of this world and this motivates me to speed up many processes, to search for new forms of implementation. I deeply understand how important it is to have time to live, feel, and create something that will leave a mark.
Is there anything else you would like people to know about your work or your experiences as an artist?
I have dedicated most of my life to creativity, developing my unique style in the following areas: theatrical performance, visual art, and cinema. In paintings, theatrical or video performances, I speak with images and symbols that can be understood by opening your Consciousness. Working with people, I try to reveal their true feelings and potential, which can be hidden under a layer of fears and doubts.
What advice would you give to artists just starting out?
Don’t reject your individuality! Develop yourself, believe in yourself, listen to your heart and keep moving towards your goal!
