⚡Submissions are open for our upcoming autumn show⚡
For our annual Autumn Open Call this year, Future/Past welcomes art that explores ancestral echoes and future visions; work that dismantles tradition, reimagines narratives, and lingers in the voids between the radical, the oneiric, and the everyday.
From surreal twists on familiar myths to new visual languages for the stories your granny told you, we’re seeking works that collide the hypermodern and the mythical; from the pioneering cinematic worlds of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis to the tangled folklore of old wives’ tales, and the strange, enduring superstitions passed down through generations.
Whether through subject, colour, texture, or mood, we welcome your interpretations of the theme.
Email us a photograph of the work you’d like to submit, and tell us a bit about yourself and your practice. As always, submissions are open to all mediums and disciplines and to both established and emerging artists.
Submission deadline: Fri 19th September Maximum works per artist: 3 Submission Fee: £10 per work Drop off dates: 23rd 25th 26th September Exhibition dates: 30th Sept – 14th Oct Opening night: Tues 30th Sept 7-9pm
As always, we must be mindful of our environment in the Pentagon Centre and we cannot display any blatant profanity, graphic imagery, or nudity, so please re-imagine all depictions of such appropriately.
We’re also excited to announce that 2025 marks the launch of Sextet, Six Foot Gallery’s new online lit journal. The first edition will be published alongside Future/Past. Keep an eye on our socials for more info, coming soon.
